DAM Structures are proud to announce that their apprentice, Billy Carter, was awarded Fabrication and Welding Apprentice of the Year 2017 by Derwent Training Association.
The awards ceremony, held on Thursday 19th October at Malton & Norton Rugby Club in front of over 130 guests including SEMTA Chief Executive Officer, Ann Watson, celebrates the success and achievement of apprentices undertaking advanced and higher apprenticeships in Engineering.
Derwent Training commented, “Billy’s tutor nominated him for the award as his level of work and welding is always consistently high and he had kept this high quality work up since day one as well as being an extremely hard worker throughout his two years as an apprentice.”
Phil Cook, Managing Director of DAM Structures stated, “I am delighted for Billy he has been with the company since leaving school and this award is greatly deserved. These apprenticeships enable people to gain the skills and knowledge they need to succeed and DAM Structures are pleased to be part of the Derwent Association training partnership programme.”
